And So It Begins

On Monday, Mum and I travelled to Montreal for my appointment at the Belgian Consulate scheduled for the next day. We had to book in advance to do my biometrics (fingerprints) to obtain my Visa. Dad had asked to see if there was any other way to do this besides flying all the way there, but no such luck. The day of, Mum and I arrived at a fairly full and cramped room in a random building of downtown Montreal where I waited to have my shining moment of 45 seconds, where I placed my fingers on a blue-lit scanner waiting for the buttons to turn green. Thirty minutes later, I walked out with my stickered passport!! While we were there we thought it would only seem right to see the city. In three days, we averaged 15, 375 steps per day, seeing highlights that included a museum exhibition on French cuisine, a VERY strange thrift shop, a Barbie Expo and a look around Old Montreal. Overall the trip was a success and we got we came for and so much more! And so my adventure officially begins...
